MARÍA ÁNGELES LÁZARO GUIL. Born April 17, 1959, in Almeria, Spain. She moved to Granada in 1962.

Education
1971-81:
She attended the Escuela de Artes Aplicadas y Oficios Artísticos (school of arts and crafts) of Granada and graduated in Applied Arts, speciality of Ceramics.
1981-86:
She studied at the Seville University, Faculty of Fine Arts, and graduated in Fine Arts, speciality of Sculpture.
1986:
Master of Monumental Sculpture and Town Planning, Mexico DF.

Awards and honours
1977:
First prize on the artistic drawin competition of the "Robles Pozo" Foundation.
Award for Academic Merit at the Escuela de Artes y Oficios of Granada.
1988:
Diploma of Sculpture from the Real Academia de Bellas Artes "Nuestra Señora de las Angustias", Granada.
Award to "Granadinos Ideales" 1988, in Plastic Arts.
2002:
Honour Award "Plaza de las Palomas", from the Accitanos Residentes en Granada Association.
2005:
"Ciudad de Guadix" Award.

She took part in the foundation of the "Totolín" Group of puppets on the string, in the Escuela de Artes y Oficios of Granada.

She created the "Labor-therapy" Workshop, funded by Excelentísima Diputación Provincial de Granada (county council of Granada).
1989:
She led the Moviento Escultórico Almeriense (sculptural movement of Almeria), created by Comisión Comarcal de Cultura del Alto Almanzora.
She passed the Civil Service examination for Assistant Teacher Corps of B.U.P.
1990:
